The SACDC has been committed to empowering families through affordable housing for over 15 years, working with Prospera Housing Management to provide supportive resident services. Many programs are funded through LIHTC agreements and are available to all residents.

Preservation
The SACDC has been deeply involved in affordable housing in South Texas, working to modernize and preserve vital housing communities for low-income families and seniors. As part of this mission, it completed a $12.2 million redevelopment of 76 units at the American GI Forum Village Apartments, ensuring the long-term availability of HUD project-based vouchers in the community.
In Corpus Christi, SACDC led the $11.3 million reconstruction of Hacienda Senior Apartments, which replaced the aging LULAC Hacienda Apartments with 60 new units for seniors earning under 60% AMI. The project was supported by a $500,000 HOME Loan from the city, helping to bridge financing gaps and provide quality housing.
To ensure continued success, SACDC collaborates with Prospera Housing Management, a trusted property management provider in South Texas that also offers award-winning resident support services tailored to the needs of each community.
Funding partners in the above efforts included Capital One Bank, Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, Oppenheimer Multi-family Finance, City of Robstown, and the City of Corpus Christi.

The SACDC has long been committed to affordable housing in South Texas. In 2011 and 2012 respectively, the organization modernized 76 units at the American GI Forum Village Apartments and 60 units for low-income seniors at the Hacienda Senior Apartments in Corpus Christi.
